Snow Day!!

Last Wednesday, I was let out of school early because of all the snow. This wasn't scheduled. So I had to call my mom at work. When I came home, I went outside to play with Amy. The snow was almost to her stomach. When she ran, it looked like she was a snow plow. All of the snow came flying!

I have a swing set in my backyard. There is a slide that was covered with snow. I took my sled and slid down the slide. I almost knocked my head on our fire pit. I was screaming even though it was fun.

If you are wondering why I haven't posted in a while, it is because Truffles was put to sleep a week before Christmas. The vet said that he had a tumor in his pouch area that grew so big that it pressed on his heart and he had a stroke. I took him out of his cage two days before he died and he couldn't walk. I was so scared. I didn't know what to do. We put him in the bottom of his cage to sleep. The day he died, I was at school for yearbook staff meeting. I asked my mom how Truffles was doing. She said my dad took him to a small aanimal specialist. When he came back, Truffles was dead. I was so sad. We burried him by my old cat, Genesis. We wrapped him in a towel with bedding and put a carrot in with him. I will never forget about the memories that I had with him.

Truffles' Birthday

Truffles' birthday was September 3rd. We forgot last year to give him a birthday salad(since he can't have cake) so this year we gave him a salad. We put some of his snacks, a orange pepper, a cucumber, a tomato, and salad leafs. He really liked it only he didn't eat it all because it was so much. My mom told me to save it for his snack next time. Last night, I gave it to him and it was all rotten! So instead of that, I gave him some fresh cucumber slices which he stuffed. We had to get Truffles a new cage because the top part of the cage that he slept in broke. His last cage was a CritterTrail3 and we added on a CritterTrail1 to it with CritterTrail Fun-nels and CritterTrail Sky Dome. Those were his birthday gifts only I didn't put them together until last night. So that is how Truffles' birthday party went.

Truffles and a tomato

I had Truffles out in his ball and a few days before my Grandma brought over a vegetable tray that had small tomatoes on it. So I decided to give him a tomato. I thought he wasn't going to like it because it might be too sour or too sweet for him but he seemed to like it. So when I put him back in his cage, I put the tomato in his cage. He tried to stuff it in his pouch and take it up to his bed but when he couldn't get it stuffed, he went up his tube and while he was going up I was nice enough to move the tomato to the top of his cage for him. When he got up there, he seemed surprised to see the tomato up there.

Spider

This is not a picture on Halloween. It was it was a week ago. It built a web outside our family room window. We could see it making its web.

Playing with Truffles

A week ago, we had Truffles out to play with when I put him on my mom's legs. He started to slide down my mom's legs and it was really funny. When he got to the end, he fell off.

Truffles

This is Truffles. I got him last August, the week my cousin was born. I always asked my parents if I could get a hamster but they said NO!

One day, I asked them if I could get a hamster, they said I had to do a lot of research. So, I hopped on the Internet and started to print out about 20 pages at a time. Then, I read all of the pages and my mom took me to Petsmart.

Since I was saving up for an American Girl Doll, I had over $100.00. But my mom said I had to give her half of my money. But this gift was the best gift ever!!! It moves around but an American Girl Doll doesn't move.
